Cindy is greeted warmly by Aunt but the coffee is drugged, and Cindy soon learns that her aunt is indeed a witch, and Cindy is to be inducted into a cult, which practices an interesting form of sexual black magic - known as Devil’s Ecstasy.

Cindy is initiated into the Devil’s Ecstasy, and because of the drug, she enjoys the experience.

“Devil’s Ecstasy plays like a wonderful 1970's erotic horror, cult movie with attention to detail regarding occult symbolism. Devil’s Ecstasy is decently directed as a horror flick as well as an X-rated film. I have never seen an X-rated film like it - plausible storyline, decent Abdominable Phibes type set-pieces, lots of auditory and visual atmospherics, and plenty of hardcore sex action. Somewhat like Rosemary's Baby in the Satanic Ceremonial sex scenes and somewhat like Brotherhood of Satan in storyline. Devil’s Ecstasy did need to be restored to DVD but appears to be shot straight off VHS. Still it is worth owning as a curiosity and decent stag flim.”

Pseudonymous credits disguise Cyndee Summers, Ric Lutze, and Patrick Wright, plus a femme I've never seen anywhere else. There are a few non-sex extras and a stand-in or two. Jim Holliday dates Devil’s Ecstasy to 1974 in "Only the Best" but I suspect it's 2 or 3 years older than this.

Devil’s Ecstasy is sort of a "Dark Shadows" goes porn. It has a professional, though look (more Poverty Row than "Blood of Dracula's Castle" but not quite as cheap as "The Pink Angels"). It is an interesting misfire from the early days of porn, when no one knew where the genre was going and stabs were made in many directions to see where the blood flowed thickest.

Intro credits, with flashes of XXX underneath, including in-action shots of a big black dick which doesn't appear in the movie proper.

En route to the house up in the mountains she wrecks her car but manages to get to the farmhouse anyway, where she meets Aunt Marian (not identified by me), a short, stocky woman of well past 30, with big tits, very long, thick black hair. No way she's going to do anything in this movie. She gives Helen some tea, which is apparently drugged, because Helen starts having hallucinations that she and Aunty are doing dyke. But it's only a dream.

Helen goes walking on the farm, finds a dilapidated shack which contains a mad young redhead with unkempt hair and bare tits. She seems to be Helen's identical twin, and 70s survivors will note with approval that she also looks exactly like a young Bonnie Raitt, if she didn't comb her hair. Helen is shook up by this discovery. Later she attends a party at the mansion. Why do all the grinning guests look like corpses with bad makeup jobs? She makes a face of horror. Wearing nothing but a waist cincher garter belt, she is stretched out on an altar and fucked by a guy with a dick like Blake Palmer. Inserts again, but it looks like Cyndee's fluffy red bush that is being speared. As she reaches orgasm under this assault, Aunt Marian kills her with a knife.
Helen's boyfriend, Ric Lutze, goes up to look for her when communication ceases. Aunty welcomes him, offers him some tea. Then she gets naked and sucks his dick in closeup. Then she goes after him with a knife, and the next we see of him, he's dead, hanging upside down and naked in the barnyard.

Helen's professor goes up to see what happened to her and Ric. He also reaches the farm, which is not good news for him. Cyndee seems a little strange, mostly because she's been replaced by the mad sister. She comes on to the prof in the bedroom and they wind up naked in short order. A hardcore-horror mix film could probably be made from these elements, but Devil’s Ecstasy wasn't it. There's way too much nookie time for a standard horror. The only real suspense in Devil’s Ecstasy is waiting to see whether the dowdy Aunt Marian is actually going to put out. Devil’s Ecstasy is of genuine historical interest to cult porn movie fans.
